Beginning January 2026, the Solid Waste Division has transitioned to a digital based platform, Routeware. Not only will this program benefit our drivers and customer service representatives, but is designed for residents' usage too.

Through this app, residents are able to:

• Search by address for collection days
• Sign up for notification reminders about your weekly collection, notification is customizable to a time of your choosing
• Use "Waste Wizard" to type in a waste material and see how it can be recycled, composted, or disposed of
• Schedule bulky item pick ups (request is sent to office and you will be contacted by the office for confirmation)
• Play our sorting game by placing materials in the correct bins
• Report a missed pick up, illegal dumping, or additional issues

Routeware is beneficial for our division for many reasons. Some examples include:

• Real-time service updates while on route
• Digital mapping systems with efficiency based routing
• Service verification for residents and businesses with RFID scanners
• Minimize account errors
• Digital camera system to maintain driver and customer accountability
• GPS locations for customer bin placement

Additionally, with the incorporation of this system, we will be able to reach customers through emails for events and important Solid Waste Division information. Details to sign up for this aspect coming soon!
