Cannabis Program
Introduction
In recent years, California voters and the state legislature created a legal framework to regulate the cannabis industry. In response to these changes, the Manteca City Council developed a conservative allowance strategy of 3 total Commercial Cannabis Business Licenses.
On December 21, 2021, the City Council adopted ordinances establishing a comprehensive program to permit and regulate cannabis activities with the City of Manteca. The ordinance tightly regulates the cannabis industry while preserving our environmental resources, protecting the health and safety of our community, and prioritizing fiscal responsibility for taxpayers.
